Elizabeth married Chaney Floyd Clauson on 05 SEP 1876 in Knox County, Missouri.

MO d/c 17455

—Mrs. Clauson's name was posted as Charlotte Elizabeth in her son's obit. Charity appeared as her first name on her death certificate and an obit. She used Elizabeth on her marriage license and it appeared as Elizabeth in several of the Census records. Mrs. Clauson had passed away 42 years before her son, so perhaps her first name was not remembered by person/persons doing the notification to the newspaper office since it appears Elizabeth was used so often. Likely they knew enough to know her first name was not actually Elizabeth, that it was her middle name and was used as a nickname.
