Frank Martin
Frank Martin, long time resident in Birchdale township northeast of the city, died at his home on June 10 of heart disease. Funeral services were held at 11 o'clock on Tuesday, June 13, at the Birchdale Evangelical church. A large concourse of realtive(sic), neighbors and friends followed the remains to their last resting place in Oakland cemetery.
Deceased was born on Feb. 21, 1855, in Switzerland, and came to this country when 18 years of age. On May 9, 1878, he was married to Miss Fredericka Krauss. This union was blessed by seven children, all of whom are living and were present at the bedside when their father died. The widow also survives. The children are Mrs. W. D. Denzer, Glenwood City, Wis.; Mrs. B. H. Denzer, LeSueur, Minn.; Mrs. H. N. Reed, Pond Creek, Okla.; Mrs. F. E. Coyle, Saskatoon, Canada; W. S. Martin and F. H. Martin of Sauk Centre and Miss Verna Martin residing at home. Henry Martin of Creston, Iowa, is a surviving brother.
