Also surviving are two brothers, Dr. Thomas (Cherie) Heckler, Lima, and Ralph (Marsha) Heckler, St. Marys; a sister, Roseann Heckler, Coldwater; mother- and father-in-law, Cyril and Roberta Niekamp, Celina; and a brother-in-law, Chris Niekamp, Wapakoneta.
A member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, he was employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Celina Moose Lodge and Southshore Sportsmans Club.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma, with the Rev. James Dugal, officiating.
