Mrs. Mary Jane Crabtree, 78, of Lucasville Rt. 3, died Tuesday at Pike County Hospital after an illness of several years.

A native of Scioto County, she was a member of Scioto Freewill Baptist Church on Cockrells Run road.

Surviving are her husband, Edward V. Crabtree; a son, Herman Crabtree of Bowersville; five daughters, Mrs. Grace Days and Mrs. Verna Underwood, both of Lucasville, Mrs. George Radabaugh of Lucasville Rt. 3, and Mrs. Jack Johnson and Mrs. Virginia Williams, both of Columbus; two half brothers, Ira Lowell (sic) and Frank Lowell (sic) and a half sister, Mrs. Minnie Fox, all of Hillsboro; 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Scioto Freewill Baptist Church, with Rev. Elmer Noel officiating. Burial is to be in Scioto Cemetery under direction of Howe Funeral Home of Piketon.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
