"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7. Eddie Ray Mott passed away in the arms of his wife at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at his home. He was 64, a resident of Bayou Plaquemine and a native of Plaquemine. He was a retired plumber. Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 3 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Merle Manguno, the Rev.Frank Manguno and the Rev. Glen Herrod. Interment was in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Elsie Kelley Mott, Bayou Plaquemine; five daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Archie Peavy, Plaquemine, Laura and Kenny Bush, Holden, and [Linda Price Thomas] and Dee Wunstell, Paula and Wayne Broussard and Tammy and Mike Brooks, all of Plaquemine; two sisters and a brother-in-law, [Lillie Robinson] and James Bird, Braidwood, Ill., and June Derrick, Baker; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Joseph
"Jody" and Maisie Mott, and Isaac Mott, all of Plaquemine; 14 grandchildren, Isaac Ray Passman, Chantelle Brouillette, Randy Jr., Chad and Robert Favron, D.J., Crystal, Ethan and Caroline Wunstell, Christopher and Jeremy Broussard, Joey Daigle, Ashley Brooks and Jenny Gurganus; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and
nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Lily Lake Mott;five sisters, Sarah, Alberta and Gloria Mott, Alice Kemp and Priscilla Herrod; and two brothers, Leslie and James Mott.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. He was a member of Beam of Life Tabernacle.
