Ruth Carolyn Ingram

Ruth Carolyn (Mullins) Ingram was born on January 27, 1931 to Elmer Lee Mullins and Hazel Ellen (Reese) Mullins. She passed away on September 29, 2017 at the age of eighty-six.

Ruth was a resident of Lindsay until 1989 when she moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma where she has spent the past twenty-eight years of her life.

Ruth married Russell Thomas Ingram on July 3, 1947 in Gore, Oklahoma and they spent forty-five wonderful years together until his passing in August of 1992.

Ruth worked for the Cable family in Lindsay at their local diner until she moved to Ardmore.

After she moved to Ardmore she attained her LPN license at the age of sixty. After receiving her nursing licensing Ruth began working for Mercy Memorial in Ardmore until her retirement.

Ruth was a member of the Zaneis Baptist Church located in Wilson, Oklahoma. She also enjoyed being a part of the TMBS Ladies Bible Study group and she was also involved in a Prayer Shawl group, where the ladies came together to pray over them before they would give them away to someone who had a need.

Ruth was a very active lady, she enjoyed crocheting and working her crossword puzzles. She attended an exercise group weekly and watching the birds eat from a feeder she had outside her house.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters: Ellen and her husband Robert Thompson of Fairview, Oklahoma and Tammie and her husband Anthony Little of Norman, Oklahoma, a daughter-in-law: Tammy Ingram of Ardmore, Oklahoma, a sister Connie and her husband Roger Wright of Drumright, Oklahoma, a sister-in-law: Sue Mullins of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, her seven grandchildren: Amanda Robinson, Brandon Thompson, Abbey Thompson, Toni Podenak, Jessica Ingram, Amber Ingram, and Nathan Ingram, and her four great grandchildren.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Hazel Mullins, her husband: Russell Ingram, two sons: Thomas and Matthew Ingram, one grandson: Daniel Hyatt, two brothers, and one sister.

A Graveside service for Ruth is set for Tuesday, October 3, 2017 starting at 11:00 A.M. at the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. There will be a Memorial Service honoring the life of Ruth on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Zaneis Baptist Church in Wilson, Oklahoma.
