Mildred was the oldest of four children born to Paul Alexander Sr. and Margarette Genolia 'Maggie' (Moose) Barrier. She married Johnny Holland Belk in Union County NC March 19 1932 and they were the parents of four children: Rebecca Holland, John Tilden, Margaret Paulette and Paul Webster.
