CLAXTON, Ga. Hugh Roy Dixon, 95, who retired with over 25 years as the owner of Lee's Shoe Store, Daytona Beach, died Sunday at Evans Memorial Hospital, Claxton.
Mr. Dixon, a native of Girard, Ga., moved here in 1947 from Miami, and moved to Claxton a few years ago. His memberships included: First United Methodist Church, Daytona Beach, Royal Order of Scotland, Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Order of High Priesthood, Order of Anointed Kings, Knight Crusaders of the Cross, York Rite College of North America and he was a past master of Daytona Beach Lodge 270.
Survivors include a brother, Ralph Dixon, Claxton. Memorial donations may be made to Evans Memorial Hospital Fund, P.O. Box 518, Claxton, GA 30417 or to Shriners Hospital for Children, Office of Development, International Shrine Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607-1460. Woodward, Holly Hill, is in charge.
