LETTER FROM LYONS
Little Even, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Jensen, died at their place the 13th and was buried in the Beaver Creek cemetery on the 15th. Rev. Somner preached the funeral sermon. The family have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in their loss. He was a bright little fellow and will be missed much by all who knew him.
He dipped his feet in the purling stream
And left our lives like a pleasant dream.
He is safe at last on that other shore
Where brother and sister who have gone before.
He sweetly sleeps with folded hands,
He has gone to his home - that unknown land.
He has crossed that stream with the rushing tide,
And is safe at last, on the other side.
