BELLEVILLE - Mary Mae King, 98, of Valley View Haven and formerly 3071 Back Mountain Road, Belleville, died at 7 a.m. Sunday Sept. 12, 2010, at Valley View Haven.
Born Dec. 8, 1911, in Belleville, she was the daughter of the late Jacob S. and Fannie R. (Yoder) Zook. Her husband, Samuel H. King, whom she married on Aug. 20, 1939, preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2000.
Mary is survived by children, Jesse W. King and companion Wanda England, of Hutchinson, Kan., Ivan R. King and wife Betty, of Port Royal, David T. King and wife Arlene, of Hutchinson, Kan., Leah Harbst, of Lewistown, and Gary L. King, of Belleville; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Lee G. King and Freddie R. King.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Belleville.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Maple Grove Mennonite Church.
The viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Baggus Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Kauffman and Pastor Herbert Zook officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
