Dawn L. Wagner, 50, of Hidalgo, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at her home.

Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Chapel in Newton. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Ray Finney officiating. Burial will be in Brockville Cemetery in Newton.

Dawn was born February 23, 1961, in Mattoon, the daughter of Donald and LaDonna Rose (Patton) Cowger. She married James "Jim" Wagner on June 9, 1989. He survives.

She was a supervisor at U.T.A. in Newton. Later, she worked for GSI in Newton.

Dawn will be loved and remembered by her husband Jim Wagner, of Newton; son Dyrel D. Wagner and his wife, Jennifer, of Effingham; and grandchildren, Jeannetta Woomer, Matthew Woomer, Ian Wagner and Hannah Wagner, all of Effingham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and LaDonna Cowger, and brother, Dustin Cowger.
