Shirley Lysdal, 64, Bemidji, died Friday, April 28, 2000, at Meritcare Hospital, Fargo, N.D. Memorial services Tuesday at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, International Falls. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren. She was born July 17, 1935, in International Falls to Fred and Eva (Bird) Grover. She was raised by Lawrence and Mertyle Grover from infancy. She attended schools in International Falls. On September 25, 1955, she married Thomas Lysdal, and the couple resided in Littlefork for 29 years. She was primarily a homemaker and mother. After moving to Bemidji in 1984, she and her husband worked for Bemidji Property Management as an apartment building management team. She attended the Evangelical Free Church in Littlefork and was active as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and traveling. Survivors include her husband; one son, Robert (Cheryl) Lysdal, Gilbert, Ariz.; three daughters, SuzAnn (Brian) Ball, Bemidji, Shelly Kiefer, Mesa, Ariz., and Julie (Don) Perantie, Seattle; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Betty (Gordon) Alexander, Quartz Hills, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, David and Willard. [Unknown Source]
