Evelyn J. Gruenhagen, 87, Brainerd, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at St. Joseph's Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 5, 1913, in Fosston to Eddie J. and Jennie O. (Frederickson) Fink. She lived most of her life in Brainerd. She graduated from Washington High School in 1930. She married Fritz Gruenhagen in 1934. She worked as a legal secretary for Ryan, Ryan and Ebert. She was active in the Zion Lutheran Church and participated in the Ladies Guild and Ladies Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Loesel, Arlington Heights, Ill.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Stolhanske, Staples.

Her husband and her daughter, Lois Frazer, died earlier.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Terry Small officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church.

Friends may call an hour before services Monday at the church.
