CHARLES M. MIZELL, JR., 80, passed away March 7, 2003, in Dallas, Texas. Born August 16, 1922 in Denton, Texas. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Huff Mizell, their son, James Franklin Mizell, and his sister, Elizabeth Ann Bennett. Graduate of N.T.S.T.C. (now UNT) and Dallas College of SMU. World War II Army veteran, serving with the 30th Division Artillery in Europe. Accountant for Lone Star Gas Co. for 37 years. Charter member of Southwest Railroad Historical Society, avid model railroader and M-K-T, T&P, and Santa Fe Steam Buff. Member of White Rock United Methodist Church and John G. Slater Masonic Lodge. Survived by a sister, Rosemary M. Schoolfield (Dudley) of Dallas, two brothers, Robert G. Mizell (Carol Lynn) and Michael E. Mizell of Denton, six nieces, several cousins, including Elizabeth Goode Garcia of Denton, and special friend, Jackie Moore. Visitation Sunday 4:00 to 6:00 p.m Services will be held 1:00 p.m, Monday, March 10, at Grove Hill Chapel, Rev. George C. Fisk officiating. Interment at Grove Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Rock UMC. Dignity Memorial Grove Hill 3920 Samuell Blvd. Dallas.
