Jacob Ralph Ray, age 5, of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 as a result of the storm. Jacob was born on March 24, 2006, in Franklin, Co.(Russellville) a son of Roland Scott Ray and April Michele Kimbrough Ray Wideman; he loved trains, telling jokes and was always smiling because he loved life. He was preceded in death by his grandmother (also in storm), Jeanette Cochran Wideman; great-grandfather, James Roy Kimbrough; and his great-grandmother, Ave Dean Ray.
Survivors include his father, Roland Scott Ray of Lewisville, MS; mother and step-father, April Michele and Zackary Wideman of Hamilton; twin brother, Richard Austin Ray; brother, Jaden James Allen Wideman; grandparents, Gerald and Angela Rivera, Jimmy and Carol Kimbrough and Allan Mark Wideman, all of Hamilton; aunts and uncles, Derek Kimbrough, Christie Kimbroug, Gabrielle Rivera, Jada Wideman, Clark Ray, Aaron Richard Rivera and Joshua Rivera; and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Mt. Hope Baptist Church. Dewayne Satterwhite officiated. Burial followed in Galbreath Cemetery with Miles Funeral Home of Winfield directing the service.
