Jacob G Simmer, a retired crane operator, died Thursday at his home.
He was 69 and lived in South Seaside Park. He resided in Philadelphia until moving here four years ago.
Mr Simmer retired in 1976 after 25 years as a crane operator for the H T Potts Steel Warehouse, Philadelphia.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Warren; a son, William, Philadelphia; a brother, Paul, Cleveland; a sister, Mrs Phyllis Ballbach (Balbach), Beach Haven, and three grandchildren.
The Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Toms River in in charge of arrangements.
