BLACKBURN, MR. MARSHALL WAYNE - age 50, of Knoxville, formerly of Union County, born May 26, 1951, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 2, 2001. He was of the Baptist faith and an employee of Tom's Foods for 30 years. Preceded in death by father, William Bruce Blackburn; mother, Bernice Ruth Blackburn; brothers, Larry, James, Gerald, and Robert K. Blackburn; sisters, Helen Ruth Blackburn and Peggy Davis. Survivors: sister, Louise Sizemour of Maynardville; brothers, Paul Blackburn and Stanley Blackburn, both of Maynardville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 8 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Ronnie Wynn and Rev. Leon Nicely officiating with music by Rev. Richard and Linda Nicley. Interment 10 a.m. Thursday, Haun Cemetery, Luttrell. Pallbearers: Kenny Blackburn, Robert Blackburn, Brandon Blackburn, Andy Blackburn, David Sizemour, and Joe Peace. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville.
