John Allen Dailey Jr., aged 36, from Charles Town, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, in Reno, Nevada, due to complications from liver disease.


Born on July 18, 1971, in Jefferson County, he was the cherished son of John and Jane Dailey of Charles Town, and Candy Linnburg of Pennsylvania. A devout member of the Zion Episcopal Church in Charles Town, John attended Jefferson High School and contributed his skills to the Shenandoah Construction Company, also based in Charles Town.


He leaves behind a loving family, including his three children, Samantha, Miranda, and John Dailey, who reside in Cleveland, Ohio. He is also mourned by his three brothers, Jason Dailey of Martinsburg, Joshua Dailey of Sterling, Virginia, and Justin Dailey of Shepherdstown, along with his paternal grandmother, Hazelteene Dailey of Charles Town, and his maternal grandparents, Benny and Delores Breeden of Middleway.


John was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Paul T. Dailey Sr.


A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2007, at the Zion Episcopal Church in Charles Town, with interment following at Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Zion Episcopal Church at 300 East Congress Street, Charles Town.
