Thelma Rector Pate, 83, passed away April 18, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - DeSoto. Services were held Wednesday, April 20 at 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church where she was a member. Burial followed at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Pate and her brothers, Bill Rector and Waymon Rector.
She is survived by her sisters, Barbara R. Balch and Linda R. Thrower, both of Huntsville, Ala.; and her special friend Charles Porter.
The family requests that any memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
