Geraldine Fox, age 93, of Riceville, passed away at the Riceville Family Care & Therapy Center on May 2, 2011.
Geraldine Fox was born on February 14, 1918, on a farm near New Haven, Iowa to Herman and Winnie (Toelle) Jahnel. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1936. She lived her entire life in the New Haven and Riceville area.
She was united in marriage to Ralph Fox on December 27, 1943, in New Haven, Iowa and to this union seven children were born.
Geraldine is survived by her children: Carol (Steve) Jennison of Littleton, Colorado; Mike (Marjorie) Fox of Riceville, Iowa; Gary (Arlene) Fox of Rochester, Minnesota; Jane (Tracy) Messer of Chanhassen, Minnesota; Susan (Shawn) Yavari of Oak Park, California; Sara (Terry) Byrnes of Riceville, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband Ralph in 1998, her son Jack in 1995 and two brothers; Bob and Jim Jahnel.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 5th. ,at the Lindstrom Funeral Home during the hours of 4-7 P.M. There will be a rosary at 5 P.M. Thursday.
Funeral Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville on May 6, 2011, at 10:30 A.M. with the Monsignor John Hemann officiating.
