Marcy, Sept. 3. - Mrs. Mary R. Tuttle, 72, widow of John Tuttle, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Pronto, after a long illness.
Mary R. Force was born at Little Falls in 1860 and was married in 1877 to George Bowen at Sauquoit. Mr. Bowen died in 1902 and in 1905 she was married to John Tuttle who died in 1923. Since then she had resided with her daughter. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Pronto; Mrs. Louis Justice, Mrs. Earl Austin, and Mrs. Walter Osborn of New Hartford; two sons, Charles of Marcy and Earl of Utica; a brother, Oscar Force of Sauquoit; two sisters, Mrs. Willlam Elmer of New Hartford and Mrs. Laurel Wright of Colorado Springs; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
