Hallie Othella Grubb Hart, age 86, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1998 in the Abingdon Manor Rest Home in Abingdon.

Mrs. Hart was born March 11, 1911 to the late Franklin Grubb and Lavlett Sue Victoria Grubb in Grant. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude E. Hart, and her second husband, Greenville Brewer.

She is survived by three daughters, Lavern Caldwell, Delephine Hart, and Crystal Zimmerman; five sons, Joseph Hart, David Ray Brewer, George Roy Brewer, James Lawrence Brewer, and Billy Joseph Brewer; one sister, Texas Cornett, Marion; 20 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. in Barnett's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harry Booher officiating. Interment followed in the Grubb Cemetery in Grant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grubb Memorial Cemetery, c/o Max Grubb, Grant, VA or Joe Hart, Mouth of Wilson.
