"Eddie Wayne Adams was born August 28, 1946 in Coleman, the son of Sidney Adams and Frances Gould Barkemeyer. He grew up in Coleman and attended school here. He lived in Austin in the 1960's and 1970's and returned to Coleman in 1978. While living in Austin, he was a custodian at the University of Texas. He was Baptist.
"Survivors include one sister, Frances Ann Barkemeyer of Coleman; one brother, Billy Smith of Texas; uncle, George Gould and wife Peggy of Coleman; a cousin, Marsha Snider and husband Wayne of Coleman.
"He was preceded in death by his father and his mother, Frances Barkemeyer, on September 6, 1998.
"Visitation will be held Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
"Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Big Country, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, Texas 79605."
