Tapley B White is a son of Tapley White, likely son of John White and his mother is Prudence Martin, daughter of William Martin and Elizabeth Everly of Monongalia County (West) Virginia.

Giles, Tapley White, Thomas J. McClure,
Jesse W. Minton, Smith Minton, Stephen
and Lewis James, John Kendall, Lewis Will-
iams and others. Joseph Giles settled near
the ferry at Cape Girai'deau; Tapley White
was a very early Justice of the Peace,"

The elder Tapley White served in the War of 1812 as a Ensign and or Lieutenant in Captian Munn's Company from Scioto County Ohio and recieved 40 acres of Bounty Land in Alexander County for his service.

Tapley and his younger sister Manerva White are living with their older sister Nancy (White) McRaven and her husband Lewis McRaven.

1852 Alexander County marriage index lists Tapley White to Rachel Shelby.

Enlistment June 13, 1861 in the Civil War, Company "D" then reorganized Company "B" 18th Regiment Infantry, Illinois. Rank, Private.
Mustered out, July 07, 1864.

December 31, 1868, Tapley remarried the widow Rebecca Emeline McClusky Childress.

Children listed in the 1870 census are from Rebecca's first marriage William Childress, born 1852, Alfred Childress, born 1855, James Childress, born 1859 and Tapley's daughter Eliza White born 1860.

Tapley B White is missing from the 1880 census.
It is fair to assume he may have died between 1870 and 1880 also that he may be in this cemetery. His grave may be UNMARKED.
