Laura S. Marsh
Laura S. Marsh, 92, of Tannersville, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the home of her daughter, Valara Hartman. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Marsh.
Born on Feb. 9, 1910 in Polk Township, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Christina (Serfass) Seipler.
Laura worked as a seamstress for Vinnie's Blouse Factory in Tobyhanna from 1951 through 1979, she retired after 28 years.
She was a member of the Tobyhanna United Methodist Church and a member of the Happy Hour Women's Group of the church. She was also a member of the Coolbaugh Township Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary, the Senior Citizens Club of Coolbaugh Township, as well as a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She is survived by her son, William W. Marsh and his wife, Anna May of Tannersville; her daughter, Valara L. Hartman of Gilbert; four grandchildren: Richard R. Halstead of Tobyhanna, Randal Halstead of East Stroudsburg, Shelly De Paul of Gilbert, and Charlene DiPeri of Cape May, N.J.; four great grandchildren: Ricky and Deirdre Halstead, and Adam and Jodi De Paul; two great great grandchildren, Karissa Halstead and Brook De Paul; and many nieces and nephews. Laura will be missed by all those who loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Tobyhanna United Methodist Church with Reverend Joan C. Pococha officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Swiftwater.
A visitation for family and friends will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Tobyhanna United Methodist Church, Box 65, Tobyhanna, PA 18466.
