CHENEY - Foley, Owen Keith, was born Nov. 3, 1917 at the Foley homestead in Kingman County and departed this life on April 24, 2010 at his home. He was the son of Arthur and Sara Jane Bolinger Foley. He lived his entire life in the Cheney community. He attended Dewey Elementary School near his home and graduated from Cheney High School in 1937. He married Mildred Willis on June 8, 1940. Two children were born into this union, Kenneth Glen and Karen Marie Rosenhagen. Keith was a dedicated farmer and stockman. His hobbies were golfing, spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren and winters in Arizona. He opened the first golf course in Cheney in April of 1966. He as a member of Cheney United Methodist and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Wichita Consistory for 60 years. Survivors include: his wife, Mildred; son, Kenneth (Julia) of Lee Summit, MO., daughter, Karen (Richard) Rosenhagen of Cheney. There are four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Glen and sister, Erma. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Heartland Home Health Care & Hospice, 3210 W. Kellogg, Wichita KS 67213 and Cheney EMT, P.O. Box I, Cheney KS 67025. Services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 27 at United Methodist Church, Cheney, KS.
