Carma Hartley Burgess
Our eternally loved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed peacefully into her Father in Heaven's arms in the early morning hours of August 24, 2006.
She was born in Provo, Utah, July 20, 1938, to Harold and Dora Hartley. Carma was raised in a large loving family. She married Dewey Burgess, July 9, 1964. It was later solemnized in the Atlanta, Georgia, LDS Temple. Together they made a great team, raising and loving eight children.
Survived by her husband Dewey of 42 years, children Albert (Linda), Jana (Brad), Shirley, Harold, Cindy (David), Dave (Babette), April (Joe), Vicki (Joe), twenty-seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, five sisters, and one brother. Carma is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a much-loved brother, Elwood, and one grandson.
Funeral services were held August 28, 2006 in Hurricane, Utah.
Graveside services will be held at the Orem City Cemetery on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at 3:00 p.m.
