(WOODLAND) Funeral services for Logan Daniel Hancock, age 8 months, of Woodland will be at 2 p.m., Friday, July 23, 2010, at Jordan's Chapel Methodist Church with the Revs. Brian Moore, David Holcombe and Chris Mitchell officiating. He will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 22.
Logan died Tuesday, July 20.
Logan is survived by paternal grandparents, Ricky "Papaw" and Aurie "Mamaw" Hancock of Wedowee; maternal grandparents, Michael "Popie" and Patresa "Grams" Murphy of Woodland; one aunt; a cousin; maternal great-grandmothers, Betty Murphy of Woodland and Betty McCormick of Bowden, Ga.; paternal great-grandmothers, Joyce Hancock of Roanoke and Coolidge Wortham of Wedowee.
Logan was born Nov. 9, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" and loving mother, Tabatha Hancock; paternal great-grandfather, Milton Hancock; paternal great-grandmother, Barnice Wortham; and maternal great-grandfather, Rev. Julian Murphy.
