Almeda's father is listed as William Spease in all the sources I have seen. However, it appears that her father was actually Irvin Adam Spease who died a few months after she was born. Her mother then married Irvin's brother William a few months later in March 1905, and that is who raised her and is thus listed as father on her records. I have not found a birth cert which would of course completely solve the puzzle. Thanks to user Jim Flack for the lead.
