The newspaper describes the fatal disaster near Shoshone in detail. I will not do that here. It was described as one of the worse wrecks which occurred on the Oregon Short Line, 6 miles west of Shoshone, Idaho.

It was found to be the fault of the track layer after the wreck of a passenger train a week before, about 60 foot from where this wreck occurred. The rails were laid to close.
