THOMASVILLE - Margaret Coyle Duncan Mabe, 84, of Old Highway 29, died Thursday, June 18, in Community General Hospital.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rich Fork Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. J. Byron Barker. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Mabe was born Aug. 3, 1913, in Stokes County to Landon A. Duncan and Cora Young Duncan. She lived most of her life in Davidson County and retired from Carolina Underwear. She was a member of the Ladies Bible Class at Rich Fork Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nat H. Mabe, whom she married on Dec. 24, 1932, and by a son, James Monroe Mabe.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Fritts of Thomasville and Cora Dorsett of Lexington; two sisters, Louise Harrison of Kernersville and Myrthene Koontz of High Point; three brothers, Paul Duncan of Archdale, Dr. James Duncan of Madison, Wis., and Thurman Duncan of Sophia; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home tonight from 6:30-8:30 and other times at the home. The body will remain at the funeral home until 30 minutes before the funeral service.
