A funeral for Stana L. Manes of Hillsboro will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Sonrise Church, Hillsboro, with the Rev. James Gleason officiating.

Private family interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.

Ms. Manes died Aug. 26, 1999, in her home. She was 55.

She was born Jan. 27, 1944, in McMinnville, the daughter of Stanley and Gladys Pearson Manes. She was raised and educated in McMinnville, graduating from McMinnville High School in 1962. She graduated from the University of Oregon School of Nursing in 1966.

She worked as a nurse at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital, Portland, and then at Tuality Community Hospital, Hillsboro. She had lived in Hillsboro since 1976.

Ms. Manes enjoyed reading, camping, beachcombing and spending time with her children. She belonged to Sonrise Church.

Survivors include her father, of McMinnville; two daughters, Alissa Manes and Emily Manes, both of Hillsboro; a brother, Scott Manes of Salem; and a companion, Jill Sorben of Hillsboro.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
