Per Joey Bennett, there is a discrepancy of birth year, as it should been either 1862 or 1863.

OBITUARY
The death angel visited the home of Mrs. Mary Jane Bennett Wednesday eve at 5 o'clock, Jan. 12,1916, and called her companion, Johnny, to his Heavenly home.

He was born in Adair county, Kentucky, April 3, 1862, and was married to Miss Mary Jane Munday, Jan. 6, 1887.

There were born to them 6 children, 2 boys and 4 girls, which accompanied them to Hamilton county, Texas, in the year of 1901. Here he lived until death.

John Bennett professed religiion in July 1890 and lived a true Christian life. he died as he lived, said he was going home to Jesus and talked of his Heavenly home

He tried to talk to the family and friends but saidhe couldn't talk, his power of speech was so near gone, but he point up and looked with such a bright look and a sweet smile.

All that loving hands could do, was done, but God saw best to take him to his Heavenly home.
