Merle Elizabeth Strider King, age 81, of Zoo Parkway, Unit 602, Asheboro died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Mrs. King was a native of Randolph County and was a member of Grace Baptist Temple in Seagrove. She was formerly employed with Bossong Hosiery and was owner/operator of Merle's Beauty Nook.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne L. King of the home; sisters, Faydean Macon of Seagrove, NC, Gretchen Hancock of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Sherrill Strider of Swanton, VT and Leverette Strider of Seagrove, NC.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 31, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marc Myers officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
