Mesa - Ira L. Marotte, 60, who retired in 1970 as sergent after 25 years on the Denver police force, died Thursday in Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Mr. Marotte, of 2636 Armour, Apache Wells, Mesa, was an Army veteran of WWll and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. A Native of Dutzow, Mo., he moved to Mesa three years ago from Denver. Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons, Jack of Dallas, Texas and Frederick of Corvallis, Oregon; a daughter Mrs. Sharon Cline of North Carolina: his mother Elsie Marotte of Mesa; a brother and sister out of state, and four grandchildren. Services Monday 2:00 p.m., Oct 15. 1973, Messinger Mortuary Chaprl, Scottsdale, Arizona. Officiating Rev. Earl Gardner, interment Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Scotsdale, Arizona.
