Frances was born on August 18, 1931 to Natalie Irene Price Blackwell and Ernest O'Neal Blackwell who preceded her in death. Her brothers were Billy Blackwell and Ferris "Sonny" Blackwell who also precede her in death.
Her daughters, Candace Bowman and Dona Moyer, granddaughters, Shannon Boyce, Misha Moyer-Phillips, and Lindsey Moyer-Phillips; great granddaughters, Collins Boyce, Lena Boyce and Sean Coleman and sister Winifred Joanne Collie as well as many nieces and nephews survive her.
Mrs. Callahan grew up in Elmore and Autauga County and was a life long member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. She was also the former owner of the Singer Sewing Machine Dealership in Montgomery for over 40 years. After having a stroke in 2008 Mrs Callahan moved to Chestnut Ridge, N.Y a surburb of New York City to live in the home of her daughter Candace, her granddaughter, Shannon and her great-grandchildren Collins and Lena. All four generations living under one roof. Mrs. Callahan passed away peacefully with her daughter and granddaughter Shannon by her side.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to United Hospice of Rockland, New York City.
