Hillsdale, IN, January 26 - Gil Mack died this morning very suddenly at 2:30 o'clock. He got a fall last Sunday evening in his stable, but no one thought it serious. He seemed to be getting along very well from the hurt. He was up a few minutes before he died, walked across the room, sat down in a rocking chair, told his wife and Dan, his son, that he felt better. In a minute or two he looked up and told his wife that he was dying. He was dead in two minutes. He had of late been having asthma and heart trouble, and in all probability it was heart trouble that killed him. He was born in this county in 1831 and lived near Perrysville most of his life. He moved to Hillsdale a few years ago. He was a member of Newport Lodge No. 209, F. & A.M. His remains will be taken to Perrysville on the noon train Wednesday for interment with burial to be in the Hicks Cemetery. The Masons will have charge.
