Mrs. Sanders had lived in Hayti since she came there in 1907 to teach in the schools. She had graduated from the old Southeast Missouri Normal school in Cape Girardeau in 1906. For many years, she operated a grocery store in Hayti and was wellknown in this city as well as in her home community.
She leaves a son, A.G. Sanders Jr. and daughter Mrs. Jasamyn Garrett, both of Hayti; a brother, Elon Proffer of Matthews and five grandchildren.
