Funeral services for Glover C. Guice, 70, of 603 Louisville Ave., Monroe, were held at 2 p.m. today in Newellton Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Matherson officiating.
Burial was in Newellton Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Monroe.
He died Sunday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Shreveport after a long illness.
He was a painter and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Grace C. Guice of Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. Beverly Lovett of Monroe; one step-daughter, Mrs. Marcilene Hudson of Centerville; two brothers, Mack Guice of Natchez, Miss., and Ivy Guice of Vidalia; five sisters, Mrs. E. B. Black of Newellton, Mrs. David Elliott of St. Joseph, Fla., Mrs. Ivy Black of Newellton, Mrs. Charles Romsey of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Robert Moorehead of Port Arthur, Tex.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Black, Kelley Black, Kerby Black, Farrell Black, Fred Romsey and Dave Elliott.
