Actor. A figure of the theatre and motion pictures, he began his career in the 1890s on stage, appearing with the likes of Edwin Booth and Helena Modjeska. He appeared in both the stage and film versions of "Kismet" in 1920 and 1930. His daughter was actress Cornelia Otis Skinner.
