Alfred W. Baker

Alfred W. Baker, age 81, long time Puyallup resident, died Thursday, October 23, 1997 in a Tacoma hospital. He was born in Alberta, Canada and came to Puyallup in 1920, where he lived until 1979 when he moved to Tacoma. Alfred was a retired Administrator and salesman for the Kirk Co. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Corinthian Lodge #38 F&AM, the Afifi Temple, Puyallup Elks and the Linden Golf Club. Preceded in death by first wife, Imogene in 1978. Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Tacoma; son, Donald G. Baker of Tombstone, AZ; daughter, Corrine Baker of Seattle; sister, Violet Brustad of San Marcus, CA; stepdaughters, Jan (John) Barbee and Jean (David) Rhodes, all of Tacoma; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; along with many close friends. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 25th at 1:00 p.m. in the Puyallup Chapel of the Powers Funeral Home. Inurnment at Woodlawn Abbey Mausoleum. Memorials to charity of your choice. A gathering of family and friends immediately following the service at the Puyallup Elks.
