Colburn, Robert Hurd ~ Born in Derry, N. H. August 27, 1914 to Annie Mae Willard and Frank I Hurd. He is preceded in death by one son Charles Robert Colburn, and sister, Charlotte Bomberger. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Edna, son, daughter and husband, and daughter-in-law. Six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. His career in aviation began at Hamilton Standard Aviation and ended with his retirement from Braniff Airways in 1979. He was a loving husband, and a devoted father. He was a gentleman and "gentle man". Graveside services will be held Thursday May 28th 2009 at 3 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, the family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Food Bank of North Texas.
