LaVonne Patterson, LaVonne Smith ~ Dawn appeared December 30, 1925 with her birth to Clyde and Opal Smith in Binger, Oklahoma. The glisten of sunshine stayed with us for 83 years. Sunset occurred in our lives September 17, 2009 as she awoke in Paradise. Precious memories will be cherished by her family - a loving husband of 65 years, 3 children; sons Kenneth and Ronnie; a daughter, Linda Hobson; 7 grandchildren; loving brother Jack and sister-in-law Elsie Smith; nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her mother and father and a sister, Janette Smith Lewis. She and her siblings were raised in Dangerfield, Texas. She married Sam C. Patterson December 31, 1943 in Dallas, Texas. Loved by all who knew knew her, she was everyone's sunshine. She dedicated her life to her husband, her family and her Lord. She and Sam were members at White Rock Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas for many years. She cherished each moment she had with seven grandchildren and 15 great-grand-children. Among her great joys in life was her dear and precious friends - many at Evergreen Apartments and Christian Care Center in Mesquite, Texas. Family visitation will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home Tuesday, September 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Grove Hill Funeral Home with graveside services and interment immediately following.
