DIED. On Sunday evening, 27th inst. in the 19th year of her age, after a lingering illness, Miss MARY BUTLER. Her friends are particularly invited to attend her funeral, from the residence of Mr. Jacob Knox, 133 south Sixth street, this afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Mother of William Butler. Her father Lt. William Butler was killed in action during the Revolutionary War. Mary (called Mehitable -- her mother's name) was the wife of Charles Butler. She was the fifth child and only daughter of Lieut William Thompson and Mehitable Ufford Thompson of Stratford and Ridgefield Connecticut. Mary... was baptised in 1773...." More extended family details and war info there. Her father's parents were John and Mehitable Thompson. Her mother remarried to Captain John Thatcher after her father's death.
