Melvin Ray Minor, 56, of Baconton died Sunday, November 2, 2003 at his residence.
Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday in Oakview Cemetery in Camilla.
Born May 12, 1947 in Kansas City MO, Mr. Minor served in the U. S. Merchant Marines where he retired as mariner captain. He served in the U.S. Army and Navy serving two tours in the Vietnam War, and served on the U.S. Submaries. Mr. Minor received the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and Campaign Medal.
He was the son of the late Melvin R and Alma Isbell Minor and is survived by several close friends.
