Pearl McCarville, 100 of Omaha, formerly of Atlantic, died Monday at a rest home in Omaha, where she had lived for a number of years. She was in good health until stricken Monday while preparing for breakfast.
The daughter of Robert and Henriette Kneeland Taylor, she was born here Dec 27, 1888 and attended Atlantic schools.
For most of her adult life, she lived in Omaha. She and her late husband, Clarence, were in the real estate business there and she managed an apartment until recent years.
Mrs McCarville lived at The Ambassador, 1540 North Seventy Second St. Her sister, Mrs Walter (Byrd Taylor) Day was a longtime Atlantic resident. another sister, Mabel Taylor, married Thomas Whitney, who was associated with the Whitney Loan & Trust Co Bank here for a number of years. She later moved to chicago Il, and after he died she married Fred McIntosh. Her children, Marjorie and Forrest Whitney, attended school here.
Mrs McCarville's brother, Charles, was the father of the late Dell Taylor, Atlantic funeral home director.
Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Thursday at the Atlantic Cemetery.
