Theodore Feldberg Ret. Cabinet Maker, 76
Theodore "Teddy" Feldberg of Monticello, a lifelong area resident, a retired self-employed custom cabinet maker and the owner/operator of Monticello Cabinet Manufacturers, died Saturday, July 15, 2000, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. He was 78 years of age.
The son of the late Morris & Lena Remzervitz Feldberg, he was b. Jun 1, 1922, in the Bronx.
Mr. Feldberg was a more than 50-year member of the Monticello Fire Dept and a charter secretary of the NYS Fire Police Association. He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America for 64 years, an Eagle Scout and holder of the Silver Beaver Award. He and his bro., Seymour, were leaders of Troop 83 for 25 years. Mr. Feldberg was a member and past president of Temple Sholom and a member of the choir of the Temple. He was a longtime outdoor trainer for the Boy and Girl Scouts and a longtime hunter safety instructor.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Karp Feldberg, at home; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Philip and Penny Feldberg of Windsor, Conn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Michael Rundle of Boiling Spring, Pa.; a sister, Diane Levine of Monticello; a brother, Seymour Feldberg of Monticello; four grandchildren, Cindie, Samara, Ariana and Heather; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Feldberg.
Svc. were held Mon at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello with Rabbi Irwin Tanenbaum officiating.
Burial was made in Temple Sholom Cemetery in Monticello.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Council of the Sullivan County Adult Care Ctr., Liberty, N.Y. 12754, or to the charity of one's choice.
