Oran - Funeral service for Virgil Hamaker Dalrymple will be held Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be in the New Morley Cemetery.
Mr. Dalrymple, 87 years old, died Saturday at the Franklin Skill Care in Benton, Ill.
He was born Dec. 10, 1899, at Salem, the son of James Isaac and Elva Kate Hamaker Dalrymple. He married the former Virginia Oller on Dec. 10, 1929, she died Jan. 20, 1974.
He retired in 1965 as a night watchman at the Sikeston Cotton Seed Co.
Survivors include a son, Paul D. Dalrymple; two daughters, Mrs. Susan Farrar and Mrs. Diana Bickings; five brothers, Keith, Beryl, C.K., Donald and Malcolm Dalrymple; a sister, Mrs. Doris Acahziger; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter and a sister.
