John Francis Dillon, Sr., 85, died suddenly at noon today at the home of a son and daughter-in-law with whom he live, Mr. And Mrs. Carroll Dillon, Orrtanna R2. Death was caused by hypertension, according to Dr. C. G. Crist, county coroner. The deceased had been ill about a week. He was a farmer and fruit grower in the Buchanan Valley section.
Survivors include the following children, Frank Dillon, Buchanan Valley; Mrs. Mary Dean, Rosemont, Pa.; Mrs. Esther Schiller, Sharon Hill, Pa.; Carroll Dillon; Austin Dillon, Fayetteville RD.; Dennis Dillon, Washington D.C.; two brothers, Leo Dillon, Buchanan Valley and Edward Dillon, Dixon, Illinois a number of nieces and nephews; 21 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
His wife, who was the former Emma C Cole, died 23 years ago. He was a son of the late
Joseph and Mary Ann Brady Dixon, late of Adams County.
