Mr. Davis was born in Leesville, son of the late Charles Otis & Evelyn Eidson Davis. He retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

Survivors include his son, Charles David Davis, Leesville; daughter, Sandra Lynn Yenny; brothers, LeRoy Davis & Gene Davis, both of Batesburg; sisters, Louise Parham of West Virginia, Margaret Lominick, Pomaria, & Sarah Davis, Batesburg, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held, Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel; Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. Larry Smith officiating.

Pallbearers were Eugene Oxner, David Cato, bobby Turner, Randy Sandstrom, Allen Jeffcoat, & Von Audrhamer.

Memorials may be made to the Charles Ray Davis Memorial Fund, 115 North Pine Street, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006.
